ABOUT EXAM



The Joint Admission Test for M. Sc. (JAM) is an admission test to M.Sc. and other post graduate science programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Indian Institutes of Science Education (IIScEd).

Candidates who qualify the IIT JAM exam will be eligible to pursue post-graduate programs from India's most reputed institutes like – IITS, NITS, CFTIS & IISc Bangalore -M. Sc. in-joint M.Sc.–PhD. (dual degree), integrated Ph.D.

Candidates belonging to general and OBC category should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in graduation and candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD should possess 50% marks.


Jawaharlal Nehru University will hold Combined Entrance Examination for admission to M.Sc. (Agri.) Biotechnology and M.Sc. Programme being offered by various universities.

Candidates those who have bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3/4/5 pattern of education with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade from any recognized university will be eligible for giving the exam.
